The Turnberry Medical Shortfall Plan offers a great plan to solve financial headaches caused by medical shortfalls.
It covers of up to 500% above medical scheme rates and also pays for selected co-payments.
Turnberry Insurance Group has products to get rid of the burden of additional medical costs during times of illness.
An affordable medical aid supplement, Turnberry Medical Shortfall Plan also gives members the free benefit of R5 000 000 for international travel insurance.
However, it excludes the cost of the ward, theatre, and medication costs. It also does not cover the cost of materials.

Execu-Care

Pro-Care Option
Receive up to 500% for hospital procedures. It covers the gap between medical practitioner costs and applicable medical aid rates. Wisdom teeth extractions in-hospital is also insured.
The cover offered by the following policies:
- Pro-care 300 – pays 300%
- The Pro-care 200 – pays 200%
- Pro-care 100 – pays 100%
- Also, the Pro-care Senior is for members between the age 65 – 79 years
Elect-A-Care
It covers in-hospital co-payments including dentistry, scans, scopes and sub-limits for an internal prosthesis.
Elect-A -Care Senior
For members between the ages of 65-79, this includes sub-limit and co-payment fees.
Limitations
Turnberry’s annual limits are more than generous, including R500 000 per member and R1 500 000 per family on the Pro-Care option. The Elect-a-Care gap cover option pays R200 000 per person and R1 000 000 per family.
There is a three month waiting period when signing up for a Turnberry policy, nine months for maternity benefits and 12 months for hysterectomies.
