This policy is designed to soften the shortfall by medical schemes that impose annual payouts for hospitalisation.
Waiting Periods
- There is a three month waiting period from the date of policy inception.
- The maternity waiting period is 10 months.
- There is a also six-month waiting period for pre-existing medical conditions.
Cost
- The Hospital Optimiser Policy costs R95 a month.
Base Cover – Gap Cover From Stratum
This policy offers:
- Tariff gaps between medical scheme payments and medical profession bills of up to 500 percent.
- Casualty Cover.
- Trauma Counselling.
- Cancer diagnosis benefits.
Waiting Periods
- There is a three month waiting period from the date of policy inception.
- The maternity waiting period is 10 months.
- There is also a six-month waiting period for pre-existing medical conditions.
Cost
- The Stratum Base Policy costs R180 a month.
The Access Optimiser – Gap Cover From Stratum
- This Gap Cover policy is recommended for Keycare and Necesse members.
- Please note that it excludes neck and back surgeries.
